Philippine Army and Coast Guard 2015- to receive Sherpa C-23B+ Transport Aircraft

British company’s Shorts Brothers and now owned by the Bombardier Aerospace produced the Sherpa C-23B+.

US Army used the Sherpa C-23B+ type of aircraft since 1985. The aircraft is capable of landing in soft surface small airfields. It is a medium transport aircraft that can provide troops airdrop, cargo transport, and aeromedical evacuation. The plane can be modified to handle up to 18 stretchers plus two medical attendants.

According to the US Army information, eight C-23 Sherpas are given to Estonia, the Philippines, and Djibouti.
