Malaysia Seeks Peaceful Solution to South China Sea Dispute

Malaysia called for more hard work to stumble on a peaceful solution to increasing tensions in the disputed South China Sea, they would stipulate that China  should stop land reclamation and other related actions, they added that Chinese territory should be no double standards on the issue, in reference to land reclamation work by the other claimants.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is speeding up negotiations for code of conduct that governs behavior in the resource-rich and busy waterway. China, Taiwan and several ASEAN Members including The Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam and Brunei – have squabbled over ownership and have power over of the South China Sea in an argument that has flared on and off over decades.

The Malaysian Foreign Minister Anifah Aman said, ASEAN must play a responsibility to ensure a harmonious settlement in the dispute over the sea; above all, we must to address these issues serenely and cooperatively and have a diplomatic clarification to a trouble that threatens regional solidity.
