Indonesian Air Force Chief Visit the Philippines to Increase Ties

The Indonesian Air Force Chief Agus Supriatna visited the Philippines in  August 2015 . The Three days visit pave the way for continuing mutual  relationship and consultation on training exchange program between the two air forces, the Philippine Air Force and the Indonesian Air Force.

As part of courtesy calls, he went  to the Philippine Air Force  Headquarters in Pasay City and the military Headquarters at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City.

The Philippine Air Force chief Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Delgado awarded  Indonesian Air Force Chief Agus Supriatna Supriatna with the honorary Philippine Air Force  Gold Wings Badge. (Philippine Air Force  Gold Wings Badge – The Badge is a Philippine Eagle spreading its wings with a relief of the Philippine Republic superimposed on it. It is in GOLD which symbolizes command. A Star encircled by laurel leaves sit atop the badge symbolizing the bearer as a veteran combat pilot.)

The visits clearly symbolizes the mutual relationship between the two countries. Presently, there are 8 Indonesian students with the rank of major (1 Navy, 1 Air Force and 6 Army) who are undergoing schooling at the Command and General Staff College in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City. Also, one Indonesian Air Force officer with a rank of Captain will undergo a 4-month Squadron Officer Course schooling which started last August 10, 2015 at Air Force Officer School in Fernando Air Base, Lipa City Batangas.

Earlier, five Indonesian Air Force Academy cadets visited Fernando Air Base at Lipa City last August 2-7, 2015 to observe the conduct of training at the PAF Officer Candidate School (PAFOCS). In return, five PAFOCS cadets will also be sent to observe the conduct of training at Indonesian Air Force Academy on September 8-11, 2015  at Yogyakarta, Indonesia as part of  Philippine-Indonesia Cadets Exchange Program.
